Walking through the Imperial Palace, Kali-ra checked that she had her datapad for what felt like the hundredth time. She was to present the latest update on the Mount Tantiss facility to the Emperor and his advisors herself. It was both an honor and—if she were honest with herself—a grave danger. She knew why she'd been sent instead of any number of the other scientists working in the facility. She wasn't Human. Being one of the few non-humans working at Mount Tantiss was already a great boon to her, but she would by lying if she said she was not aware of the prejudices of her colleagues and the Empire as a whole. She could only hope that she'd be allowed to continue her own research in conjunction with the other genetic studies being done at the facility. A part of guaranteeing that she kept that ability was making sure that this presentation to the Imperial Court went smoothly. Brushing a wayward strand of blue hair over her purple-tinted ear, she steadied herself as the turbolift

The soft chiming of her alarm awakened Aleema as she stretched out languidly upon her bed. Beyond her balcony the lights of Imperial Center's cityscape still glittered in the pre-dawn hours. As the sleepiness passed from her mind she found herself smiling triumphantly. Today was the day she'd be honored by the Grand Inquisitor, honored for her achievements and publicly placed by his side for all to see. It was a good day and one she intended to flaunt. Rising from her bed she crossed to her closet and entered it to examine her wardrobe. She of course had an array of clothes, however her usual attire wasn't sufficient for this occasion. This was a singular day and so she wished to be singular. The Grand Inquisitor of course would be wearing his black robes and Aleema certainly could matchim to emphasize her place with him but she didn't want to be seen as a mere aspect of his organization. No, that would not do. She was no one's minion. She was alone in her accomplishment and so

Walking through the halls of the Inquisitorius' headquarters Aleema felt a certain level of pride and accomplishment as she passed her fellow Inquisitors. She'd been elevated to her position thanks in part to her display of power some months prior. The death of the diva had been reported in the news of course, an apparent suicide that only she and the Grand Inquisitor knew the truth of. Since then the Grand Inquisitor had shown her more direct interest in her and had even tasked her with various missions on behalf of the Inquisitorius which she had of course completed flawlessly. She felt important, like she was making headway in her goal to rise through the Imperial heirarchy. Now she was taking another step towards that goal of advancement. She might have been granted more attention by the Grand Inquisitor and that was certainly a boon but his attentions were still divided and she could not tolerate that if she were to continue her rise to power. She entered into the training

The training hall of the former Jedi Temple flashed and hummed with the sight and sound of lightsabers as apprentice inquisitors practiced against remotes, saber equipped ASP training droids and each other. In the center of it two women squared off against one another. Aleema tossed her long black hair as she looked at the mirialan woman she was facing. Her opponent, a chief inquisitor who went by the moniker Lady Nightshade, eyed Aleema with an air of disdain that was palpable.
Her opponent's apparent dismissal of Aleema only served to heighten her irritation. Didn't she know who Aleema was? She was the daughter of royalty! A member of the

Kahan examined the terminal and the message he was sending, reading the lines carefully.
Aira-ty,
a change is coming. By the time you receive this an order will have been issued, Order 66. I have been in communication with Niklos and I know you have been searching for me, but don't worry, I am safe and I want to ensure you and the others are safe as well. Niklos has orders to keep Hanabi with you, Guo-Jia and Dio as well. Bring them to Coruscant and there will be a safe haven for all of you. I look forwards to seeing you all again in the New Order.
His finger selected the send key and after a moment he stood, pulling his black cloak ab

Admiring herself in front of the full length mirror Aleema couldn't help but smile confidently. She'd chosen a dark blue off the shoulder dress with a black sash around her waist and black lace across the chest. The dress was shorter in front and longer in back, showing off her legs and figure alluringly. Tonight would be her first public appearance besides the Grand Inquisitor, not that no one knew of her of course. She'd made it very obvious that she was with him and she was pleased to see that the denizens of the Imperial Palace gave her due deference now.
Of course the one thing she sought still eluded her. The key to the Grand Inquisit

Aleema sighed as she gazed out the viewport at the planet spanning cityscape below as the shuttle descended towards the surface.
“It isn't so bad Mistress.” Master Korus said placatingly. “Being sent to serve under the Emperor is a great honor.”
Aleema rolled her eyes as she shot the old man a glare.
“Serving some wrinkled old man is an honor?”
Master Korus wrung his hands together nervously.
“He is our Emperor.”
“And old.” Aleema reiterated. “He can't expect to live forever. Who do you suppose will take his place?”
Despite her idle tone, her question caused a vis

Tora looked at herself in the mirror as she finished applying her make up. The dress that Special Agent Kallus had bought her was beautiful, a slender emerald green evening gown that hugged her body and tied behind her neck. It exposed a tastefully aluring amount of her torso but compared to her armor she felt utterly naked. She looked at herself in the mirror again, trying to recognize the red headed woman gazing back at her with those nervous green eyes. How had she gotten roped into this?
She hugged her arms, remembering the last mission she'd been on. The pleas of the people she and her squad had eliminated. The Special Agent had commen
