Something that I think comes to mind from a lot of people who decide to write on DeviantArt is: how do I expand my audience?
First off you need to find some groups and I'm going to have a list right now to recommend some places that I use (though admittedly I often forget). Submitting to groups can really help expand your work's viewership.
Now as I've mentioned before there is also something else you can do that will catch the eye of your potential readers and that is to have artwork about your material. Now this isn't easy as it is rare to have an artist just do artwork of your stories, after all why would they? However if you've got an artist friend who is looking for some more watchers you could consider collaborating with them on a story or even paying them a fee to create cover art for your story.
There is one more way though in which art can really boost your stories and that is in writing scenes for artwork.
Anyone who has followed me knows that I often will find pieces of artwork that I enjoy and will subsequently ask the artist if I can write a scene using the art as inspiration. Sometimes they say yes, other times they say no. However whenever they say yes it gives me a potential audience. Not only am I writing something new for my own readers but I am sharing that artist's artwork as well. That means that they are getting more traffic as a direct result of my efforts which they will appreciate. In turn make sure you message the artist when you've finished the scene or story so that they can read it if they choose to. If you're fortunate they will like it enough to share it with their own watchers who will read your work and enjoy it and possibly start following you as a result.
Writing works inspired by artwork you enjoy from DeviantArt is a big boost to your visibility as a writer as it has the potential to really pay dividends in terms of viewership and on top of that it is so simple to write up a quick scene for the artwork that you can often produce several pieces within a single month meaning your readers have something to look forwards to.
So I say again, to anyone who is looking to expand their readership, don't just pursue your own ideas when you're building your audience. Partner in some fashion or another with artists and create stories from their artwork as well. It'll give you a chance to expand your abilities and show off your talent in your craft in a fashion that isn't centered wholly on someone reading all your previously established stories which can be a rather daunting task at times to new readers.

Annoyances as a Commissioner
I feel like getting this off my chest because this has happened multiple times now and it almost feels like I need to spell this out at the risk of being highly arrogant. I consider myself to be a fairly decent commissioner. Artists that have worked with me know that I will provide every reference I possibly can and where I am unable to do so I am more than happy to allow artistic leeway and interpretation so that the artist doesn't feel at all restrained by the limitations of my inability to provide said references in those cases. However, if I come to you with a full set of references for characters, scene, and posing, and you can't even be bothered to look at them and just ask me repeatedly which characters and how they should be posed etc...why are you even asking me for references? If you cannot be bothered to click the link I've provided and view the files I have taken the time to gather to try and make this as easy for you as possible, the hell are we communicating for? At
Commission Price Updates
I am updating my commission prices for the sake of myself and potential customers so this is a bit clearer for everyone involved. Please read if you are interested in soliciting my services. All payments can either be made through PayPal or Kofi and must be made in advance unless stated otherwise. I will do my best to maintain communication throughout the process and refunds will be available up until completion of the finished piece. If you wish to have your piece posted to my gallery, please let me know, otherwise I will default to it being a private work. If there are any final edits to be made after you have received the completed work, they will be free of charge upon notification of the necessary changes. Note that I will not edit works endlessly, so please make sure you know what you wish to have changed before contacting me with your desired changes. Profiles If you are looking for a profile of a ship, character, species, planet, etc such as demonstrated here the price will
Hades Wing to Empire at War
So I cannot believe this is happening, but one of my fanfiction projects is actually being added into an Empire at War mod. I was contacted by a modder who read my very first Star Wars fanfiction, Hades Wing, and they informed me that they've been working on recreating my cast of ships and characters from Hades Wing in Empire at War. So far they've got Hades Wing's custom TIE bomber design, the TIE/db which they are finishing the modeling of for in game implementation. They wanted to get my permission to included the rest of Hades Wing as minor heroes, with the various squadrons of the wing becoming minor hero units in the game as well as a hero cruiser to represent their command ship. Honestly this is incredible. Out of all my Star Wars stories, this oldest of them, with all its clunky flaws and writing faux pas, is apparently the one to inspire a modder to recreate its cast in one of the most beloved Star Wars games ever. I'm genuinely shocked and honored, and I've asked that
Kaira: Updating a Story
So years ago I wrote something rather silly. In this we see Kahan face off against a newly incumbent Darth Vader some three years after the Clone Wars have ended and it is here that Kahan realizes who Vader is, and subsequently defeats him. At the time I wrote this, it was very much playing off the idea used in one of the older comics where Vader falls victim to Yoda's mind games and my just having fun with Kahan trouncing Anakin. However in all honesty this story needs to be redone, as the idea doesn't make sense for the way I want Kahan and Aira-ty's story to go. Vader can't have a grudge against a powerful Jedi who made a fool out of him and got away with it. So I'll be revisiting this story and I hope everyone will enjoy the results.

Thank you for this, I've applied to all the groups (except the last one that wouldn't let me)
